Chocolate and Prevention of Stroke
Stroke is brain damage caused by interruption of blood supply to the brain. This can be fatal for the patient who suffers, and its consequences are really pitiful. It is therefore necessary to maintain good health and care by exercising and taking a good diet to prevent them.
Also as a preventive have been studied several foods that can help us to emphasize prevention and including chocolate, which has again been noted for its health benefits, particularly in an investigation conducted by experts from Johns Hopkins University who have discovered that chocolate may prevent cerebrovascular stroke.
In experiments with mice, researchers induced strokes rodents to suffer strokes and experience how it worked feeding chocolate compounds on them.
The researchers found that mice had eaten chocolate experienced spills smaller than others. And it also found that mice had eaten chocolate spills if they had recovered much faster.
The findings are interesting because they open field for research in this field. In fact, thanks to its chemical composition chocolate is increasingly becoming an ally for our health, and the list of benefits is extended investigation after investigation.
Chocolate contains over 600 chemicals, and many of these health benefits. Among the benefits of chocolate is the improvement in the cardiovascular system, fight cancer and protect the immune system. Its qualities are due to the antioxidant properties it contains. The black chocolate in particular an increase in plasma antioxidant capacity in humans, but this effect is greatly reduced if the black chocolate eaten with milk.
It also contains phosphorus, magnesium, iron, potassium, calcium, vitamin E, thiamin and riboflavin, caffeine, theobromine, and tannins. It is rich in natural antioxidants.
