The importance of nutrition for cancer patients

In patients with cancer, nutrition is one of the most important because almost 90% of them lose much weight, and proper nutrition is necessary for a better recovery.

Poor nutrition in these people usually start at the same time they are diagnosed because they have a big psychological impact, which negatively affected food intake and on the other hand, some anticancer treatments such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery leave many patients in unfavorable nutritional conditions.

Poor nutrition is often contribute to and increase the incidence and severity of adverse effects with this type of treatment, and therefore patients are more susceptible to infections and various problems by a decrease in the immune system.
