treatment of gonarthrosisHow is it treated?

First Phase:

Treatment in the early stages is based on proper medication and good therapy.

drugs

- Analgesics pure (target only pain) such as paracetamol. Are the initial treatment for their little side effects.

- Anti-inflammatory painkillers such as ibuprofen or diclofenac. Useful in sharpening boxes, but should be administered with caution in the elderly and to kidney and liver disorders not severe. If severe or the patient has peptic ulcer should not take them.

Do not take cortisone or similar drugs. In addition, drugs that try to stop osteoarthritis, such as glucosamine sulfate, are slow acting (effect takes weeks or months to manifest) but very well tolerated and allow lower doses of other drugs.
